i have been reading a book called...

"five signs of a loving family" by Gary Chapman and ordered it from amazone. i used the delivery bag for wrapping my sisters christmas gift. she thought it was a very cool and creative way...i wanted to do some reciclying this year.

i started the book as i usually do - i look at the contents and go through the chapters that interest me...

the five signs are:

1. an attitute of service


2. intimacy between husband and wife


3. parents who teach and train


4. children who obey and honor parents


5. husbands who are loving leaders

of course i started with intimacy and husbands who are loving leaders! and i definately need to read the chapter about honoring parents as it looks like i really don`t know what it means...i mean in a way i do, but how to do that when you are grown up without shuting your parents out of your life but really sharing it with them.

according to the book intimacy is defined as entering into eachother`s lives emotionally, intelectually, socially, phisically and spiritually.it is connecting at the deepest possible level in every area of life....and then i was in trouble thinking how well i have done this? how well have i let myself be known by others, the closest ones to me?

do i even realize that if i close up, i take away their right to deeply know me? do i want to be known by others or even by myself? what am i so afraid of?
